Music composer Ismail Darbar to join BJP - praises Modi

In an interview to a private channel today, Darbar said, "I have met BJP chief Nitin Gadkari in Nagpur and discussed my plans with him. He has blessed them, and now I am waiting for an affirmative answer from Modi."

"Being born in Surat, I have special regard for the city and the state of Gujarat where a lot of development has taken place after Modi took over... that is why I am inclined to join BJP, for doing something for the city and the state," said the composer, who shot to fame with the film `Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam`.
