Phulbani: A Maoist allegedly involved in several crimes including murder was arrested during a joint combing by security forces in Kandhamal district today, police sources said.

The Maoist, Sanipur Patamajhi, was arrested from Tiamaha in Kotagarh area, about 145 km from here, during combing operation by the CRPF and Special Operations Group, Inspector In-Charge of Kotagarh police station, S Pujari said.

Maoist literature including leaflets, pamphlets and posters were seized from him, police said.
