4 easy steps to do manicure and pedicure at home
Every woman wants beautiful hands and feet but regular visits to the salon to get a manicure and pedicure done is a luxury that not everyone cannot afford. But the question is why look out for a salon when you can easily indulge yourself in with brilliant beauty treatment, right in your home.
So, follow these four easy DIY steps to have a salon like a manicure and pedicure.
Set up a small table and keep all the items you need on it, so you don’t have to search for anything in between your sessions. The required items include nail paint remover, some cotton wool, a nail cutter, nail file, cuticle trimmer, hand moisturiser, base nail coat, nail polish, shampoo, sugar, baby oil gel, and a towel.
First, wash your hands and toes properly. If there is any old paint on your nails, use a nail polish remover. Now, trim your nails properly and give them the desired shape. Avoid cutting the corners of nails too much. Now use a good quality gentle nail file to shape your nails. After that, you need to clip the excess cuticles and free edges. Do it gently without harming the rest of the nail.
Soak your hands in a tub filled with lukewarm water. Also, add a few drops of shampoo to it. Let your feet dip for about 10 minutes and relax. Now, for exfoliation or removing dead skin. For this, make your own scrub with just one spoon of sugar and baby oil gel. Scrub it gently on your hand and feet to remove the dead and dry skin cells.
After cleaning your hands and feet, moisturise them with a good moisturising cream to hydrate your cuticles. This step also avoids smudging your nail polish later. You can give a small massage to your hands and feet and relax a little while. Apply the nail polish of your choice. Begin with a base coat that will hydrate and protect your nails, then apply the nail colour of your choice. After the polish completely dries, apply a topcoat to add shine and give a finished look to your nails.
Just follow the above four steps and keep your hands and toes healthy and beautiful, that too without burning a hole in your monthly budget.
