Irrfan Khan
Irrfan Khan was one of the most secular Bollywood actors who never shied away from expressing his views on religion and his approach to humanitarian issues. He often got candid on such issues and even once, on live television, told the preachers of Islam that he would find his own religion and that it should not be a compulsion on anyone.
Amid the current scenario when most of the Bollywood so-called superstars and actors are mum about Operation Sindoor and the Indo-Pak war, Irrfan Khan ’s savage reply to the Pakistani journalist gets much relevance.
During one of the press meetings a few years ago, Irrfan Khan was asked a general question by a Pakistani journalist. As is known, most Bollywood actors have a good following in Pakistan. On the same line, the journalist from Lahore, Pakistan, asked the Piku actor, “We have a great following of you in Pakistan. And I hope in some time you can come to Pakistan. It will be a great pleasure.”
फिल्म इंडस्ट्री के एक बहुत बड़े और बेहतरीन अभिनेता थे, मुस्लिम होने के बावजूद भी उन्होंने कभी मजहब को बीच में नहीं आने दिया।

In reply, Irrfan Khan said, “Main aa toh jaunga par wapas aaunga ki nahi?” The reply created a round of laughter among the audience as the journalist meekly can be heard saying, “Bilkul wapas ayenge.” Unlike other Bollywood actors, Irrfan Khan always openly discussed social issues and during another interview expressed his views on why Pakistani artists who are allowed to work in India did not condemn the Uri attack openly.
The Lunchbox actor said, “You should ask them (the Pakistani actors). Maybe their country is not open enough to speak their minds.” On Bollywood actors remaining mum in such a situation he was of the opinion that the government has a better view and that it should stop doing trade and giving visas to people from Pakistan.
