As theaters across India have now opened to 100% capacity, most of the major banners have come up with the release dates of their flicks. That is why December 2021 is going to be the month of big releases in the South.
Akhanda
The first to hit the theater is Nandakumar Balkakrishna’s Akhanda which will be released in cinema halls on 2nd December. The teasers and songs of Akhanda have already created the required hype. The Boyapati Srinivas-helmed movie stars Balakrishna in the double role while Pragya Jaiswal has been roped in as the female lead.
Ghani
Another movie that will release in December 2021 is Varun Tej-led Ghani. The release date of this boxing film has been changed many times. But finally, the makers have settled on 9th December as its release date. Unfortunately, Ghani directed by a newbie has not been able to create the required amount of hype until now.
Pushpa: The Rise
Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s Pushpa: The Rise is the biggest Southern December 2021 release to hit the theaters. The flick which is being made in two parts will release in Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, Malayalam, and Telugu and its success mainly depends on the star power of Allu Arjun and Rashoo. The flick based on the life of a sandalwood smuggler will hit the theaters on `17th December. Bunny wants to enter the pan India market with Pushpa and hence Sukumar and the producers are trying their best to plan promotions that will attract the audience from the Hindi belt.
According to reports, Allu Arjun and the team is all set to promote Pushpa in Dubai soon.
Shyam Singha Roy
Shyam Singha Roy starring Nani in the lead is another Southern notable flick that will be released this December. Nani is reportedly playing a double role in this movie which will have three heroines- Madonna Sebastian, Sai Pallavi, and Krithi Shetty. The promotions for this movie have just started but are yet to gain much momentum.
