Superstar Shah Rukh Khan gave a terrific start to 2023 with blockbuster movie ‘Pathaan’ that went on to earn Rs 1000 crore worldwide. After the stupendous success of Pathaan, his recently released action-entertainer Jawan is also set to break his previous records.

After Pathaan and Jawan, fans wanted SRK to end the year with a bang with Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Dunki’. However, if media reports are to be believed, the much-awaited film Dunki might not be released in 2023 and will be postponed to 2024.

“I believe they (Dunki team) are looking at the possibility of moving Dunki to early next year. This year SRK’s Pathaan and Jawan are record-breaking blockbusters. A third film makes no sense. Better to wait a few months, and give SRK fans some pause to absorb the twin successes. Let’s not forget that Pathaan and Jawan still have a long way to go,” KoiMoi quoted a source as saying.

“While Pathaan has started streaming on Prime Video, Jawan will begin streaming not before November. This means that SRK fever will be prevalent till the end of the year,” the source further quoted.

Furthermore, SRK doesn’t have any film lined up to be released in 2024. So, it is better to postpone the release of Dunki to early next year, the sources said. However, there has been no official confirmation in this regard.

Earlier, Rajkumar Hirani said that it was a joy to work with King Khan. “He brings positive energy on the set and always makes everybody happy around him. I had no idea he prepares so much; I thought of him as an impromptu actor. When an actor is already prepared, it makes your job easier. Dunki is a very high-performance film with a lot of monologue and long scenes, but he has got the entire script in his head, word to word,” Hirani stated.
