Nawazuddin Siddiqui
Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Bajrangi Bhajaan was a big hit. It was one movie that helped Nawaz get good recognition in the mainstream Bollywood movie industry and also escalated the stardom of Salman Khan. Now almost a decade later there is a strong buzz that Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2 might be announced as the Bollywood superstar is very much interested in doing a sequel of this hit franchise.
While Kabir Khan has already said that he is not going to be a part of BB2, fans are curious to know whether Nawazuddin who played the role of a Pakistani reporter in the film will be a part of this sequel or not.
Nawazuddin reacts to buzz around Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2
The famous actor is currently promoting his latest OTT release Costao. During the promotions, he also shed light on whether he is going to be a part of BB2 or not. Nawazuddin Siddiqui said, “I don't have any information on a sequel being made. It depends on them. I cannot be 'main first mein tha toh mujhe bhi lo.' It doesn't work like that. Agar unki zaroorat hogi, toh hum haazir ho jayenge."
So unlike Kabir Khan,Nawazuddin Siddiqui is not averse to being a part of Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2. However, it is too early to speculate whether the makers will approach him for the role of Chand Nawab. For the unversed, Nawaz’s Pakistani reporter character was inspired by the real-life reporter from Pakistan named Chand Nawab who became quite popular for his piece on Karachi Eid celebrations in 2008.
The buzz around the sequel for Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2 was triggered when earlier Bajrangi Bhaijaan writer Vijayendra Prasad revealed that he had a meeting with Salman Khan and that they are exploring the possibility of a sequel to the original movie.
