Odisha Elections 2024 Phase 4 Voting LIVE Updates: 70.06 per cent voter turnout recorded

Voting was held for the fourth phase of polling in Odisha. The polling was conducted amid heavy security in as many as six Lok Sabha and 42 Assembly constituencies in Odisha.
A total of 99.6 lakh voters will decide the fate of 66 candidates in the six Lok Sabha seats and 394 candidates contesting for the 42 Assembly seats. Polling was held for Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur  Lok Sabha seats, and all the 42 Assembly seats under these Parliamentary segments.

Odisha logs 70.06 per cent voter turnout; Jagatsinghpur records highest 72.26 per cent

With voting coming to an end in as many as six Lok Sabha and 42 Assembly constituencies in Odisha, Jagatsinghpur recorded a highest voter turnout of 72.26 per cent, followed by Bhadrak (71.42 per cent), Mayurbhanj (70.14 per cent), Balasore (69.47 per cent), Jajpur (67.91 per cent) and Kendrapara (66.37 per cent).

Exit Polls predict gains for BJP, setback for BJD in Odisha

With the 2024 general elections coming to an end on Saturday, the Exit Polls projected the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to win in Odisha while the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) is expected to suffer a big setback.
 According to the Exit Poll conducted by India TV, the BJP is expected to get 15-17 Lok Sabha seats out of 21, while 4-6 seats would go to the kitty of the BJD and Congress is expected to win one seat.
Similarly, the Exit Poll survey by CHANAKYA said the BJP is going to win 16 LS seats while the BJD would get four seats and Congress one.
The predictions of JAN KI BAAT, NDTV and REPUBLIC-MATRIZE are mo different either. While JAN KI BAAT projected the BJP to win 15-18 LS seats,  NDTV put it at 15 and REPUBLIC-MATRIZE predicted 9-12 seats.

Odisha records 62.46 per cent voter turnout  till 5 pm; Jagatsinghpur records highest 65.93 per cent

While the polling is underway in as many as six Lok Sabha and 42 Assembly constituencies in Odisha, Jagatsinghpur registered a highest voter turnout at 65.93 per cent, followed by Mayurbhanj at 64.17 per cent, Jajpur at 62.92 per cent, Kendrapara at 62.02 per cent, Balasore at 61.91 per cent and Bhadrak at 58.21 per cent till 5 pm.

Balasore registered a highest voter turnout at 54.04 per cent. Jagatsinghpur recorded a voter turnout at 52.52 per cent, Mayurbhanj at 51.03 per cent, Jajpur at 48.80 per cent, Kendrapara at 46.46 per cent and Bhadrak at 46.33 per cent.
