Bhubaneswar: Bollywood actress Actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who takes life as it comes, on Sunday came in support of the farmers agitating against the three new farm laws brought in by the central government.

Priyanka took to Twitter and wrote, “Our farmers are India’s Food Soldiers. Their fears need to be allayed. Their hopes need to be met. As a thriving democracy, we must ensure that this crises is resolved sooner than later.

Chopra wrote the message in response to Diljit Dosanjh's tweet.

Recently Diljit Dosanjh had extended his support to the farmers agitation on social media which ultimately had led to an ugly spat with Kangana Ranaut.

Recently he addressed the protesting farmers at Singhu border (Haryana-Delhi border)

"We have only one request to Centre..please fulfil the demands of our farmers. Everyone is sitting here peacefully & entire country is with farmers," said Diljit.

Diljit had asked the demonstrators to be patient and peaceful in their agitation and requested the government to accept their demands. “You have created history once again,” he told the protestors," he said.

The “Udta Punjab” actor then turned to Hindi for the convenience of media persons present at the site.

“Hindi mein bhi bol raha hun Sir, phir baad mein Google na karna pade (speaking in Hindi as well, so one does not need to do a Google search).

Referring to his ugly war-of-words with Ranaut, Dosanjh said unlike the narrative being spread on Twitter, the farmers’ agitation has been “peaceful”.
