All the five accused had procured the Ganja from Kandhamal district and had reached Bhubaneswar via bus. As liquor is now banned in Bihar, there is a rise in demand for Ganja, especially sourced from Odisha.
Meanwhile, a team from the Odisha Fire Services Department and ODRAF are conducting an intensive search operation in the nearby pond.

The accused has been identified as Rajat Kumar of Haryana. He was nabbed from Himachal Pradesh on February 4 and brought to Bhubaneswar on a transit remand today. Rajat Kumar was arrested based on the complaint filed by a lady journalist in Bhubaneswar.
