Minor girl allegedly raped in Odisha's Rairakhol, elder sister escapes attempted assault

A serious allegation has surfaced from the Rairakhol police station area in Sambalpur, where a minor girl was allegedly raped, followed by an rape attempt on her elder sister. 

Police have arrested the main accused along with a minor boy in connection with the case.

According to the complaint, on Saturday evening, the younger sister was waiting at the village square to receive her elder sister, who was returning home from college by bus. Seeing her alone, two youths from Arakhakuda village allegedly took her away and raped her.

The complaint further states that the accused duo attempted to rape the elder sister afterward.

Police Action So Far

Rairakhol Police have reportedly arrested the main accused, Pramod Pradhan of Arakhakuda village, along with the minor co-accused. 

However, the police have not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident.
