Rayagada: Measles has claimed four lives and affected 80 others in different villages in the past fortnight in Rayagada district, official sources said today. "Four children have died in five villages of Rayagada district and about 80 others were suffering from the disease for the past fortnight," the sources said.

"The situation is under control. The government has decided to vaccinate all children in the district from Monday," Health and Family Welfare Secretary Anu Garg said at Bhubaneswar. Medical teams have already sent to the affected villages, she said adding that three children were now being treated at the Tikiri Public Health Centre.
