Preparations for the consecration ceremony at Ram Mandir in Ayodhya are underway in full swing. As we inch closer to the auspicious day, there are many debates on why the Pran Pratistha was fixed for January 22nd. Reasons are aplenty. According to Hindu calendar, January 22 will have Nakshatra Mrigashira. This particular time is associated to deity Soma who is the God of Immortality. Its positive influence begins on January 22 and lasts until the morning of the 23rd. Secondly, the Abhijit Muhurat that is time of the inauguration is believed as the time when Lord Shiva killed Demon Tripurasur. This signifies removal of negative energy from one’s life. Third, according to Shastras, this day is known as Karma Dwadashi that is the day when Lord Vishnu took the form of tortoise. Also, on this day three yogas namely Sarvatha Siddhi Yoga, Amrit Siddhi Yoga and Ravi Yoga are formed to mark successful initiation of a holy work.
