This 13-year-old boy from Maharashtra's Pune has achieved the unthinkable! Something which kids of his age usually do not dare to! Sai Kawde was the youngest mountaineer to participate in the Tenzing Hillary Everest Marathon on May 29, along with people from 45 different countries.

Not only did he participate, but he also finished the marathon, which is claimed as the highest and toughest marathons in the world.

This marathon event is organised annually to celebrate the anniversary of the first ascent of Mount Everest by the late Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Sir Edmund Hillary in 1953.

Prior to this, young Sai had been doing mountaineering adventures in the Himalayas since 2018.

Sai has successfully climbed the highest peaks of Kilimanjaro in Africa, the highest peaks of Elbrus in Europe and Stoke Kangri, Friendship, Patalsu in the Indian Himalayas. The young climber has also been awarded with the World Book of Records and many more for his adventurous activities.
