The Gujarat Anti Terror Squad (ATS) on Monday foiled a big conspiracy by arresting four suspected ISIS terrorists from the Ahmedabad airport. Four Srilankan nationals who are active members of the ISIS were arrested days after the airport received a bomb threat. ATS SP Sunil Joshi said, on May 18, they received information regarding four people who were travelling to Ahmadabad from Sri Lanka via air. They were going to execute a terror activity and were associated with a banned terrorist organisation. The ATS recovered an ISIS flag, Indian and Sri Lankan currency notes, and two mobile phones from the suspects' possession. Additionally, three pistols made in Pakistan along with 20 cartridges were found in the Nana Chiloda area during the investigation. During interrogation, it was revealed that the terrorists were planning a suicide attack targeting BJP and RSS leaders. As per the Gujarat ATS, the evidence recovered from them confirms their link with the terrorist organisation Islamic State (IS). They were waiting for the instruction of their Pakistan based handler Abu Bakr Baghdadi who was supposed to assign them task, he also provided them 4 lakh Srilankan currencies in this regard. They wanted to teach lesson to the BJP-RSS members, Jews and Christians and all others who are atrocious to Muslims. The four accused have been identified has Mohamed Nusrath, Mohamed Faris, Mohamed Rasdeen and Mohamed Nafran. Mohamed Nusrath possessed a valid visa of Pakistan, added the ATS. A pink parcel with pistols with star mark, ammunitions and one black flag confirmed their intentions of a terrorist attack at some place amidst the Lok Sabha Elections in India.
