The train will start late from the source station due to late running of connecting trains, the East Coast Railway informed.
The issue was raked up on Sunday after Odisha Commerce and Transport Minister Tukuni Sahu wrote a letter to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw urging him to sanction new railway line between Bargarh and Nuapada via Padampur.
Addressing the demands of passengers and to clear additional rush in regular trains, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) has decided to run special trains and extend frequency of few special trains from and through its jurisdiction.
As many as five wagons of a cement-laden goods train derailed near Bhubaneswar railway station on Monday night (Aug 22) affecting rail movement on the route. The mishap took place at around 8.35 pm while the train was on its way to Vizianagaram via Bhubaneswar and Cuttack from Chakradharpur Division.
In the return direction, 18444 Gunupur-Cuttack Express from Gunupur w.e.f. July 21, 2022 (Night of July 20) will leave at 0245hrs (02.45am) and will arrive at Palasa at 0555hrs (05.55am), it added.
According to a notification issued by ECoR, 08423/08424 Puri-Nuagaon Road-Puri Passenger Special will leave Puri at 1950hrs (07.50 pm) with effect from 20 July 2022 and from Nuagaon Road it will leave at 0810hrs (08.10 am) from 21 July 2022.
The announcement was earlier made by Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on June 21.
Interested candidates may report to the venue by 9.30 am for registration on the scheduled date.
Starting from cleanliness drives to establish different pollution control activities, Environment and House Keeping Management (EnHM) wing has taken different measures to control the pollution and ensure a pollution free environment.
During the period, ECoR has loaded 113.35 MT of coal, 7.06 MT of raw material for steel plants, 18.46 MT of iron and steel, 27.22 MT of iron ore, 1.13 MT of cement, 2.56 MT of food grains, 5 MT of fertilizer, 2.34 MT of POL and 23.37 MT of freight loaded in containers and other cargo.
Rs 1.89 cr to install 28 lifts at stations under the scheme Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan and Rs 40k for creating a new Rayagada division in East Coast Railway.
The trains will remain cancelled from February 1 to February 4, said the ECoR in an official release.
Candidates have been given three weeks time up to February 16, 2022 to submit their grievances to the committee.
Eligible candidates having requisite qualifications, age, experience may appear for the walk-in-interview along with duly filled in application form and other relevant documents on January 31, 2022 (Monday) 11 am onwards at Rail Sadan, Bhubaneswar.
