Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi and Odisha BJP Chief Manmohan Samal’s complaint with the Centre against 5T secretary VK Pandian, and the subsequent letter from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) asking the Odisha government to take necessary action against the ‘erring’ IAS officer, seem to have opened the flood gates of accusations and counter accusations thereby heating up the state politics before the 2024 general election.
“Who has given such rights to the 5T secretary? Why the Chief Minister is not stopping him if such things are happening without his consent? Action should be taken against the 5T secretary for violating the rules,” OPCC chief Bijay Patnaik observed.
Addressing a press conference, OPCC president Sarat Pattanayak on Friday launched a tirade against 5T Scretary.
