Adding political weight to the programme, Barabati-Cuttack Congress MLA and Moquim’s daughter, Sofia Firdous, attended as the chief guest. AISF state president Sanghamitra Jena was also present, highlighting broader youth and student participation.

Speaking to the media, Moquim expressed that Odisha’s development requires the strong and active involvement of young people. He announced that the new party would be officially formed in March this year, stressing that emerging political challenges and aspirations of the youth make a fresh platform necessary for the State’s future progress.

“On behalf of Moquim Foundation, we want to tell the young leaders, organisers, and youths from different districts of Odisha, especially the coastal belt, who are present here, that the time has come. A revolution is needed in Odisha,” Mohammed Moquim said.

“We have started this programme with a tagline ‘Mo Odisha, Mo Dayitwa. Feriba Gouraba. Au Eka Biplaba Ra Abasyakata’. Odisha (formerly Orissa), as a state, was created based on language. Initially, Madhusudan Babu and subsequently Gopabandhu Das had put in their tireless efforts in this regard,” the senior leader further said.

“The language-based State is going to complete 100 years of its formation by 2036. Today’s call is for the revolution and efforts that are required to make Odisha the ‘number one’ state in the country,” Moquim stated.
