The historic Bali Yatra commemorating the rich maritime trade of Odisha kicked off in the Millennium City of Cuttack on the auspicious day of Kartik Purnima. The week-long fair is dedicated to the centuries-old maritime trade links between India and (Bali) Indonesia.

Bali Yatra, the annual open-air fair in the millennium city of Cuttack, is all set to get off to a colourful start today. OTV captured some major highlights which will woo visitors during the yatra resuming after a hiatus of two years.

Acclaimed sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has come up with a unique sculpture showcasing a gigantic 'Boita' (boat) which will be decorated with over 25,000 earthern diyas.
