Bhubaneswar: As many as 607 coronavirus patients recovered in Odisha on Saturday, taking the State’s total recoveries to 11937.

After today's recoveries, the number of active cases in the State now stand at 4,652, according to the State Health and Family Welfare Department.

The maximum number of recovered patients were from Ganjam district (279) followed by 84 from Jajpur, 50 from Khurda, 42 from Cuttack, 23 from Keonjhar, 21 from Malkangiri, 15 from Puri, 15 from Sundergarh, 12 from Mayurbhanj, 11 from Baragarh amd 9 from Koraput.

Similarly, 8 patients recovered from Kandhamal, 7 from Jagatsinghpur, 6 each from Angul, Balasore and Nabarangpur, 5 from Bhadrak, 3 from Gajapati, 2 each from Kendrapara and Sambalpur and one from Dhenkanal.

 

Earlier in the day, Odisha witnessed 591 new cases, taking the positive case tally in the State to  16,701. The COVID-19 death toll in the State mounted to 86 with three more persons succumbing to the disease in the last 24 hours.
