Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 death toll in Odisha mounted to 86 with three more persons succumbing to the disease in the last 24 hours. While two deaths were reported from Ganjam, one person died of COVID-19 in Gajapati district, informed Health and Family Welfare Department on Saturday.

On the other hand, Odisha’s COVID-19 tally reached 16,701 after detection of 591 new cases in the last 24 hours.
Highest 182 cases were reported from Ganjam district followed by 121 cases from Khurda, 38 cases from Cuttack, 35 cases from Bargarh , and 22 cases each from Nabarangpur, Mayurbhanj and Jagatsinghpur districts.

Earlier on Friday, 718 people tested positive for Coronavirus infection and four succumbed to the disease while undergoing treatment at different Covid hospitals in Odisha.
