Bhubaneswar: Vigilance sleuths on Tuesday conducted simultaneous raids at six places associated with Rabindra Nath Pradhan, assistant executive engineer of General Public Health (GPH) division-II, on charges of amassing properties disproportionate to his known sources of income.

According to sources, several teams of the anti-corruption agency raided Pradhan’s double- storied building at Nayapalli, an apartment and a house in Balianta, relative’s house and his ancestral home in Berhampur.

Moreover, a team also searched his office at Unit-III in the city and laid its hand on some important documents during the raid.

On Thursday, vigilance had arrested Jasodha high school Hindi teacher Bhubanananda Sahoo on disproportionate asset charges.

The vigilance sleuths unearthed properties worth more than 4.93 crore in the name of Sahoo during the raids.

Sahoo owns 2 houses and 10 plots in Berhampur, one flat each in Bhubaneswar, Puri and Gopalpur, sources in the Vigilance said.
