Lecturer Under Vigilance Scanner In Odisha

Gajapati: The officials of Vigilance Department on Monday conducted a raid on the residence of G. Nageswar Rao, a lecturer based at Paralakhemundi area of Gajapati district.

Searches were conducted on the allegations that Rao possessed assets disproportionate to his known source of income.

As per preliminary reports, the sleuths of the anti-corruption wing are carrying out searches at six places related to G. Nageswar Rao.

"During the search, we have recovered Rs 31 lakh cash, some bank and property -related documents which are being verified," said Arun Nayak, Vigilance DSP, Berhampur.
