Jagatsinghpur: Another MLA from Odisha, Prasanta Muduli has tested positive for Covid-19 and is under home isolation. The BJD MLA who represents Jagatsinghpur assembly constituency shared the news through a social media post and appealed people who had come in contact with him to test themselves.

“My driver had tested positive after which I tested myself, I am isolated at home on the advice of doctors,” Muduli wrote on his Facebook. He further said his health condition is stable now.

The legislator said though his other family members also underwent tests for Covid-19, their results came out negative.

“After developing symptoms, I went for the Covid-19 test yesterday & I have tested positive. Now I am in home isolation and with the blessings of Lord Jagannath, I am stable. Those who have come in contact me in the last few days are requested to get themselves tested if required,” Muduli wrote on Facebook.

Earlier, many MLAs in Odisha including Sudhansu Sekhar Parida, BJD legislator from Remuna constituency, BJP MLA from Nilagiri, Sukanta Kumar Nayak and Polsara MLA Srikant Sahu had tested positive for COVID-19.
