Bhubaneswar: The capital city of Bhubaneswar recorded its biggest daily spike in COVID-19 local contact cases on Wednesday. As per the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), a whopping 330 new positive cases were reported on Wednesday including 139 quarantine cases and a record 191 local contact cases.

With this the total COVID-19 tally in Bhubaneswar reached 8,261, with 3,306 active cases and 4,911 recoveries.

Out of the 441 total deaths in Odisha till now, 35 are from Bhubaneswar.

Earlier today, Odisha reported its highest single-day spike of 3,371 novel-Coronavirus cases taking the cumulative tally in the State to 87602. Similarly, the state witnessed its highest single-day recovery as well with 3343 people recuperating from the disease in the last 24 hours.
