Bhubaneswar: Putting rest to all ifs and buts in the purported handwritten note recovered from the dairy of motivational speaker Aditya Dash, the forensic reports on Thursday confirmed that the letter was written by none other than the social activist himself.

“We matched the concerned notes with Dash’s earlier handwriting and both were similar. This means he must have written the notes in his diary himself,” informed Railway ADG Pranabindu Acharya.

“Investigation is being carried out looking at other angles in the case. We are also investigating Dash’s call details with his friends and others with whom he had regular conversation,” added Acharya.

Earlier on July 13, the Government Railway Police (GRP) had sent the purported suicide note which mentioned that no one would be held responsible for his death. The authorities had also sent his previous handwriting samples and signatures to the State forensic laboratory after doubts were raised on the authentication of the notes.

On Wednesday, Union Minister Pratap Sarangi sought Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s intervention and demanded a joint investigation by Government Railway Police (GRP) and Commissionerate Police into the case.

Aditya Dash’s body was found on railway tracks on July 7 near Lingaraj Station in Bhubaneswar.
