Unbearable heat as mercury crosses 43 degrees mark in Jharsuguda; Bhubaneswar sizzles at 41.4

As per the IMD, there will be no large change in the maximum temperature (Day Temperature) during the next two days and it will slightly fall by 2-3°C thereafter at many places over the district of Odisha.

It is midway in April and already the mercury has breached the 43 degrees mark in Odisha. The people in the state are staring at a more gruelling summer this year. As per IMD, Jharsuguda reported the highest maximum temperature of 43.8 degrees by 2:30 pm on Friday.

Apart from Jharsuguda, Sambalpur also recorded a maximum temperature of 42.4, Keonjhar and Chandbali 42.2 and Hirakud recorded a maximum temperature of 42 degrees by 2:30 pm today. The steel city of Rourkela recorded a maximum temperature of 41.8 while Bhubaneswar sizzled at 41.4 degrees C.
