The depression over East central Bay of Bengal (BoB) intensified to a ‘Deep Depression’ over same region, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday.
As per the latest IMD’s forecast, the deep depression will intensify into a cyclonic storm during the next 12 hours. Subsequently, it would move nearly northwards, intensify into a Severe Cyclonic Storm by May 26 morning.

Continuing to move nearly northwards, thereafter it is very likely to cross Bangladesh and adjoining West Bengal coasts between Sagar Island and Khepupara by 26th May midnight as a Severe Cyclonic Storm with wind speed of 110-120 gusting to 135 kmph, informed IMD.
