Two notorious criminals injured in police encounter in Bhubaneswar
In a major breakthrough, as many as two notorious looters were injured in an encounter by Commissionerate Police during an operation under Badagada police station area in Bhubaneswar late Thursday night.
The looters have been identified as Sonu Yadav and Manish Yadav.
As per reports, the incident unfolded when the criminals attempted a robbery in Badagada area, prompting police intervention. While fleeing the scene on a black Pulsar, the two were confronted near the Bankual locality. The suspects allegedly fired at the police as they tried to escape, resulting in a retaliatory response that left both men with gunshot wounds to their left legs.
Sonu and Manish are reportedly linked to over 15 robbery cases, highlighting a trail of criminal activity spanning from Bihar to Bhubaneswar. Commissionerate Police have reportedly launched a comprehensive investigation to uncover further details about their operations and any potential accomplices.

Following the encounter, the injured criminals reportedly received initial treatment at the Capital Hospital. They were later transferred to SCB Medical College in Cuttack for further medical attention.
