Police IG rank uniforms seized from miscreants on looting spree in Nuapada
Nuapada police has arrested three miscreants including one from Chhattisgarh for allegedly looting a rented SUV in Muribahal area in the district on Sunday.
The three miscreants have been identified as Amar Das of Badauda village, Okila Kumbhar of Sanarpali village and Sibu Kaunnajia from Chhattisgarh.
According to sources, the trio rented a Bolero from Nuapada and tried to loot the vehicle at a secluded place near Muribahal area.
The police have seized police uniforms, seven mobile phones, bank passbooks and ATM cards from their possession. The miscreants were reportedly on a looting spree in the region, sources informed.

“The three miscreants rented the vehicle to go to Rajkharia and later told the driver to drive towards Muribahal. Then they tried to loot the vehicle. Acting on the complaint of the driver, we lodged a robbery case,” said Gouranga Charan Sahoo, Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Kantabanji.

“During the course of the investigation, uniforms of IG-rank officers were seized from their possession,” Sahoo added.
