Major accident on Khordha-Bolangir National Highway
At least three persons were killed and two others were critically injured in a tragic road accident that occurred near Takera square on National Highway 57 (NH-57), along the Khordha-Bolangir route on Saturday.
As per reports, the collision involved two trailer trucks, one of which rammed into the other. As a result, two drivers were trapped between the vehicles and lost their lives on the spot.
Additionally, a helper reportedly fell out under the impact and succumbed to his injuries. Two more individuals were critically injured in the incident and were rescued in a serious condition. They have been admitted to the Daspalla Community Health Center for treatment.

Investigations are underway regarding the cause of the accident.
"The accident happened when a truck was trying to overtake a car," said one of the injured.
A day before, at least four persons were injured in separate incidents in Bhubaneswar.
In the first accident, which took place at the Sikharchandi area, a Hyva truck crashed into the road divider, resulting in a severe accident. One person was critically injured, while a bull lost its life in the incident.
Another accident occurred on the main road in Chandrasekharpur, where a Hyva vehicle rammed into a motorbike. As a result, all three riders on the bike sustained critical injuries.
