Nabarangpur girl strangled to death, accused arrested
A chilling murder case has come to light from the Kosagumuda area in Nabarangpur district, where a 20-year-old woman was allegedly strangled to death by her lover. The accused, Dineshwar Sarabu, has been arrested by the police in connection with the crime.
According to police sources, the woman and the accused had an argument after it was revealed that Dineshwar was set to marry someone else. Following the altercation, he allegedly made a premeditated plan to eliminate the young woman permanently. He allegedly strangled her and later dumped the body in an attempt to destroy evidence.
The incident took place on Saturday night when the victim had gone to a nearby field to attend to nature’s call but never returned home. However, she succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment.
During interrogation, Dineshwar confessed to the murder and accompanied police for a crime scene recreation, showing where and how he killed the woman and disposed of her body.
