Bhadrak political rivalry: 4 arrested in bomb case connection
Bhadrak police, on Monday, arrested four persons in connection with a crude bomb attack between two factions in Talakanpada village under Tihidi block in Bhadrak district, believed to be driven by political enmity, which resulted in serious injuries to multiple people.
Details of the Incident:
According to police sources, the clash broke out between two rival groups, escalating into a full-blown conflict that included crude bomb explosions and physical assaults. On the night of April 16, the attack took place under the cover of darkness when two unidentified men rode into the village on a motorcycle and threw bombs at a group of people seated along a roadside area. The accused duo hurled bombs and sped away, leaving at least 7 injured.
Police Response:
As of the last reports, police had registered cases from both sides and initiated an investigation. A scientific team, along with local police, reached the spot to collect forensic evidence. Reports also added that the scene of the violence showed signs of heavy confrontation, including debris and traces of explosives.
Following the investigation, four individuals from both parties were arrested and subsequently produced in court. Police officials confirmed that a further probe is underway to identify and apprehend others involved in the violent episode.

The incident has raised concerns about rising political tensions in rural parts of the district ahead of the election season. Meanwhile, security has been stepped up in the area to prevent any further escalation.
