A bomb attack over political rivalry has left seven people critically injured in the Bhadrak district of Odisha. The incident occurred late Wednesday night in Kampara village, within the jurisdiction of the Tihidi police station.
The attack took place under the cover of darkness when two unidentified men rode into the village on a motorcycle and threw bombs at a group of people seated along a roadside area. The accused duo hurled bombs and sped away, leaving everyone injured.
The injured victims, including women, were swiftly transported to Tihidi Hospital; however, three of the critically injured were later moved to Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) for further medical care.
The motive is believed to be rooted in political rivalries that have been simmering in the region. In the wake of this violent incident, tension remains high in Kampara. Tihidi police have launched an investigation into the attack, and additional police forces have been deployed to maintain peace and order.
