Excerpts from a write-up retrieved from a diary purportedly maintained by the late Paralakhemundi ACF Soumya Ranjan Mohapatra drives home his unbridled love for his wife Biday Bharati who is currently being probed for his mysterious death
In the write-up which was shared to the media by a lawyer engaged by Soumya's family, the officer appears to pour out his love and commitment for his wife.
The said write-up in a diary reveals that Soumya was even prepared to quit job for his wife so that he could be at her service forever. But, in return, he wanted Bidya Bharati to be a good wife.

"I will resign from my job. I will be a servant to you. But, I want a small place in your feet,” read the page in the diary supposedly written on February 23.
On the previous day (February 22), Soumya had also written that he was ready to do everything for her.
"Whatever you want I will make arrangement for that. I will definitely fulfil that. After this, if anything happens, I won't play any role. Whatever she decides, she is free to do. If I interrupt at that time by saying anything, she can put a case of domestic violence against me.," the diary stated.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Ambulance which was carrying Soumya to the hospital made a startling revelation saying that a woman in police uniform has stopped the vehicle near forest gate.
The driver said that he waited there for around 10-15 minutes till the arrival of the patient’s wife. When the vehicle reached Goapalpur, he was asked to drive straight to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. It was around 7 am when the ambulance reached Cuttack, the driver said while speaking exclusively to OTV.
Meanwhile, the probe team is scheduled to quiz Paralakhemundi DFO Sangram Behera and a woman police officer who had allegedly detained the ambulance mid-way.
The Crime Branch team had carried out searches at the late officer’s official residence and found burn marks in the room where the officer was living along with his wife. The Crime Branch gathered evidence pointing at a fire mishap in the government quarters.
