Ovarian cancer is a silent killer that affects women usually between 30 to 50 years. It is called a silent killer because most of the symptoms become noticeable when the disease has reached an advanced stage.
Even then, there are a few warning signs that a woman can keep tracking to detect early signs of Ovarian cancer.
Increased size of the abdomen
While in many women the size of the abdomen increases after delivery, if the size is unusually large then it can be a matter of worry. Women must try to keep themselves fit and healthy and if there is a certain enlargement in the abdomen area, they must get it checked by a gynaecologist, especially if it accompanies pain in the abdomen.
Frequent bloating
Heavy meals especially those that also include spicy or fried foods can cause acidity and bloating. But if you are feeling bloated all the time without any reason, it can be a warning sign that something is wrong inside your body. It is also one of the early warning signs of ovarian cancer.
Feeling full quickly
Another symptom that is often related to ovarian cancer is fullness in the stomach. If you are feeling full even after eating half your meal then there is a possibility of an unwanted development inside your body which you must immediately take care of.
Frequent urination
If you are urinating more often than usual or if you feel that there is an urgency for urinating that you find difficult to hold then again it can be the earliest sign of ovarian cancer. These are also the signs of urine or kidney infection. But you never know. And hence, a check-up with your health expert is a must.
Pain during sex
It is one of the most common symptoms of ovarian cancer. If you experience pain during intercourse or feel uncomfortable during the course, there can be a serious reason for it. If it is accompanied by menstrual irregularities, you must consult your doctor.
