You may come across several instances of armed bank dacoities in different parts of the country. But a similar incident reported from Odisha’s Bolangir district has now become the talk of the town.
As per initial reports, a man entered a finance company office in Gandhipada area with an intention of committing loot. Branding a sharp weapon and a toy gun, the man tried to terrorize the staff and other customers present at the spot.
Usually, anyone can get frightened after seeing an armed man walking and storming inside a bank. However, the security guard, some consumers and staff showed courage and managed to nab the accused. Soon police rushed to the spot and took over the custody of the man who has been identified as Manmohan Pradhan.
Meanwhile, further investigation is underway by police.
Bolangir SDPO Pradip Kumar Sahu said, “The incident occurred one hour back. He had a sharp weapon and a toy gun. Due to the presence of mind of the security guard and others, he has been nabbed. He is now in our custody and further investigation is being done in this connection.”
