Tension gripped the Baruhan-Balichandrapur road near Bhagabanpur bridge under Dharmasala Police limits in Jajpur after a youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Pabitra Samal, son of Lingaraj Samal, a resident of nearby Arabala village. The family members of the alleged he had been murdered.
As per reports, Pabitra was in love with a girl. Today morning, his body was spotted lying in Bhagabanpur village. On being informed, his family members reached the spot and identified the body. Later, a team from Dharmasala Police Station reached and recovered the body for post-mortem.

A bike, an AADHAAR card and a money purse were also found near the body.
As the news spread, the family members of the deceased and villagers staged a roadblock by burning tyres on the Baruhan-Balichandrapur road near the Bhagabanpur bridge affecting traffic movement on the road. The agitators demanded immediate arrest of the culprit involved.
“Today morning I came to know that my son is dead. He was in a relationship with a girl. I suspect he had been murdered. His slippers, mobile and handkerchief were found near the body. I want justice for my only son,” said the father of the deceased.
After registering a case, the police have launched an investigation.
