Lady blackmailer case: SIT to take over Archana Nag’s case, seeks report from ED

A day after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) intensified its action in Archana Nag and her husband Jagabandhu Chand case and picked up her associate, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Friday sought the illegal bank transaction details of the lady blackmailer.

Reports said, the Special Investigation Team has sought the transaction details from Enforcement Directorate. The next SIT meet presided by Justice Arijit Pasayat will be held on November 13 in Delhi, the reports added.

Meanwhile, the ED has arrested Khageswar Patra, an associate of Archana’s husband Jagabandhu Chand. The agency has seized Patra’s mobile phone and bank documents. This apart, Archana’s Mahindra Thar has also been seized. 

Earlier in the day, the ED officials conducted raids at six places linked to lady blackmailer Archana Nag, who has been arrested for allegedly amassing wealth by blackmailing prominent politicians, directors, producers and businessmen. 

The raid was conducted at Archan’s parental residence, her Satya Vihar residence in Bhubaneswar and her mother-in-law’s house at Jaleswar. 

Currently, the lady blackmailer and her husband are lodged in Jharpada jail, Bhubaneswar.
