A series of bomb attacks rocked Khallikote late Friday night. Fortunately, no one is injured in the attack. A preliminary report suggests that a few miscreants triggered the blasts in response to previous political enmity.

According to sources, Dilip Pahan, a BJP worker from Khallikote owned a tiles shop in Kesapur Square. He was brutally killed during the recently concluded General Elections 2024. Dilip’s father, brother, and wife run the tiles shop after his death.

However, the miscreants are allegedly threatening them to withdraw the murder case. They are hurling bombs to scare the witnesses. On Friday night, the miscreants came on a bike and allegedly hurled three bombs on the tiles shop.

Luckily, no one was present at the shop during the bomb attack. Tiles worth lakhs of rupees and the door of the shop were damaged by the attack, sources said.

On being informed, police rushed to the spot and launched a probe into the incident.

“Four months back, they had murdered my son. Now, they are threatening us to scare away the witness. They have hurled three bombs at my shop. We have informed the police,” said Rama Pahan, father of late Dilip Pahan.

“They are threatening to kill my father-in-law and brother-in-law. They have even attacked them many times. They are doing this to scare the witnesses,” alleged Sabitri Pahan, wife of late Dilip Pahan.
