Odisha shocker! 8-year-old girl raped by elderly neighbour in Jajpur, hospitalised in critical condition

In a bone-chilling incident, an eight-year-old girl was brutally raped by her neighbour. Shockingly, the accused is an elderly man. He lured the little girl on some pretext and committed the heinous crime, family members of the victim alleged.

The rape survivor has been admitted to Cuttack-based SCB Medical College and Hospital where her condition remains critical. The heart-wrenching incident has been reported from Jajpur’s Bari area.

On the other hand, the accused is yet to be arrested by the police, triggering outrage in the village. Irate villagers and relatives of the rape survivor have demanded the intervention of Jajpur SP and the immediate arrest of the accused.

“The police have arrested the accused’s son, daughter, nephew and his sister. We need justice. We request the SP to conduct a thorough investigation and arrest the accused who is absconding after the incident,” demanded the rape survivor’s relative.
