Two persons were found dead under mysterious circumstances at separate places in Khordha and Koraput districts on Saturday.
As per reports, locals spotted the body of a girl floating in a pond at Atri village in Baghamari area of Khordha district today morning.
The girl, who was missing since the last two days, belonged to the same village. The family members had lodged a missing complaint in Baghamari police station.
Following the recovery of body, the family members of the girl have filed a fresh complaint in the police station mentioning that the girl has been murdered and her body has been thrown into the pond.

Based on the complaint of the family members, Baghamari police have registered a case and started an investigation into the case.
In another incident, a businessman was reportedly found dead near Sunabeda police station in Koraput district. It has been confirmed that the deceased was a resident of Rajib Nagar in Sunabeda who was earning his living by running a flour mill.
As his body is carrying several injury marks, it is suspected that the businessman has been murdered.
Sunabeda police has started an investigation into the incident.
“We will take the help of sniffing dogs and a scientific team for a thorough probe into the case,” said Sunabeda SDPO Manoj Kumar Behera.
