Bhubaneswar: Odisha continues to witness a dip in number of Covid 19 cases for last three days. The number of daily infections which stood at 10,635 yesterday has come down to 10,031 today. The total caseload has  mounted to 54, 4873 following today’s figures.

Similarly, 17 patients succumbed to the deadly virus in last 24 hours in the State, pushing the death tally to 2,197. 

Khordha, Raygada, Kalahandi and Sundergarh districts witnessed three casualties each due to Covid-19. Puri reported two fatalities while one each at Angul, Dhenkanal and Bolangir succumbed to the virus during the period. 
 

Khordha and Sundergarh, being the worst affected recorded 1,329 and 824 cases respectively. Cuttack remained third in the row with 720 new cases that have been detected in last 24 hours.

Barring three districts-Gajapati, Kandhamal and Malkangiri, all 27 districts of the State registered above 100 cases.

Puri reported 708 cases while Angul came behind at 456 cases and Bargarh at 450. Kalahandi and Jharsuguda saw 433 and 418 new infections respectively. 

Districts recording cases between 300 and 400 are Sambalpur (302), Nuapada (311), and Jajpur (328).
Likewise, Nayagarh, Mayurbhanj, Kendrapara, Ganjam, Dhenkanal, Bolangir ,Bhadrak and Balasore recorded below 300 cases each.
