Bhubaneswar: As the COVID numbers in Odisha continues to raise concern, the capital city, Bhubaneswar saw 1048 persons getting infected with the dreaded disease in the last 24 hours. On the other hand, 906 more patients have also recuperated and discharged from hospital.

With the new cases, the active caseload in the city has now climbed up to 10,252. Out of the new cases, 213 persons are in quarantine while the rest 871 are local contact cases.

The most, 53 cases have been reported from Nayapalli area followed by Patia (52). As many as 44 fresh cases have been detected from Khandagiri area.

Similarly, Rasulgarh registered 40 cases while Sundarapada witnessed 26 cases. While Pokhariput registered 23 cases, Sailashree Vihar witnessed 22 cases.

 

As many as 16 cases were reported from Old Town area. Patrapada and Tankapani Road registered 15 and 13 cases respectively.

Meanwhile, as many as 906 patients have also been declared free from the virus infection on Sunday.

So far, 10,252 Covid-19 positive cases have been detected in the city out of which 43,016 have recovered, 280 have succumbed. As many as 10,252 Covid-19 patients are under treatment at present.
