Three friends on their way to attend Thakurani Jatra killed in road mishap in Odisha
Three youths lost their lives after being hit by an unidentified vehicle near Vansadhara River Bridge under Gumuda Police jurisdiction in Odisha’s Rayagada district on Wednesday. The deceased have been identified as Bulu Sabar, Subrat Sabar, and Balakrishna Araka.
According to initial reports, the victims were from Kaithapadar and Jagannathpur villages in the Gudari block. The three youths were on their way to attend Thakurani Jatra, a significant cultural festival at Tarini village in the region, when the ill-fated vehicle hit them.
While two persons died on the spot, one youth reportedly succumbed to the injuries while undergoing treatment in a nearby hospital.
Details remain unclear as the vehicle involved in the mishap has not yet been identified.
