Elaborate arrangements have been made for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's day-long visit to Odisha where he will launch the state's newly-formed BJP government's social welfare scheme for women, 'Subhadra Yojana', and unveil a host of infrastructure projects on Tuesday.
This is the PM's first visit to the state after attending the swearing-in ceremony of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on June 12.

Addressing the gathering in Bhubaneswar, PM Modi announced that the Subhadra Yojana will benefit over 1 crore women, with Rs 50,000 (Rs 10,000 per year) transferred directly to their bank accounts and linked to the RBI's digital currency pilot project. He also highlighted that in the first 100 days of the third NDA government, they have committed to building 3 crore pucca houses for the poor and adding 75,000 medical seats nationwide.
We are fulfilling the promises made before the elections. As promised, after coming to power in Odisha, we opened the Ratna Bhandar of Puri Srimandir, said PM Modi.
PM Narendra Modi greeted the people of Odisha ahead of Dussehra, saying, "With the blessings of Lord Jagannath, I got the opportunity to visit Odisha again. You can only serve the people if you have Lord Jagannath's blessings. I was able to launch the Subhadra Yojana for the women of the state. Over 30 lakh houses—26 lakh in rural areas and 4 lakh in urban areas—were provided to PMAY beneficiaries."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Bhubaneswar airport on a special flight and will depart for Gadakana village from there.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to launch the Odisha government's flagship women-centric initiative, Subhadra Yojana, besides other railway and national highway projects during his visit to the eastern state on Tuesday.
PM Modi's visit to Odisha on his 74th birthday would be the first after he attended the swearing-in ceremony of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on June 12.
