PM Modi Launches Subhadra Yojana
A nation and state develop when women, who constitute half of the population, have equal participation. The development of women will be the key mantra for Odisha’s development, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the launch of the mega Subhadra Yojana in Bhubaneswar.
While addressing a massive gathering at Janata Maidan, PM Modi said that the new BJP government in Odisha has gifted Subhadra Yojana to the women. This will benefit over 1 crore women in the state. Under the scheme, the women beneficiaries will get financial assistance of Rs 50000 in instalments, he said.
“The money will be credited to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries, eliminating the role of middlemen. The scheme is also attached to the RBI’s digital currency pilot project. The women can spend the money whenever they want digitally. I congratulate the women for getting enrolled in the scheme,” said PM Modi.
Narrating his experience after he was offered kheer by a tribal family on the occasion of his birthday in Bhubaneswar, PM Narendra Modi said, “When my mother was alive, I used to visit to take her blessing on birthday. She used to give me jaggery. Today, I got the blessings of a tribal mother who offered me kheer and this is my investment for life long. The happiness of tribals and others gives me strength to work for them.”
While speaking on the launch of Subhadra Yojana in Bhubaneswar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Odisha has all that is needed to become developed.
“Be it the capabilities of youth and women, natural resources, opportunities for industries and tourism potential, Odisha has everything. In the last 10 years, the Union Government has proved how important Odisha is. The state is receiving three times more funds than what was being allocated. I am sure that the schemes which were not implemented here are now being implemented. The Ayushman Bharat scheme benefits will also be extended to the people of Odisha,” said Modi.
PM Modi Hails Lord Jagannath “Due to Lord Jagannath’s blessing, I have got an opportunity to be in Odisha. When there is Lord’s blessing, one gets an opportunity to serve people. India is the only country where labour and skill are worshipped as Vishwakarma. On such auspicious day, I got an opportunity to launch the Subhadra scheme for the women in Odisha and it is Lord Jagannath’s blessing,” said PM Narendra Modi.
Over 30 lakh families across the country have been provided pucca houses. Out of this, 26 lakh houses are in rural and 4 lakh houses are in different cities of the country. In Odisha's development, foundation stone has been laid for several welfare schemes. I congratulate the people of the state, said PM Modi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today stated that this was his second Odisha visit after the oath-taking ceremony of the new BJP government in the state.
“Earlier, I had said that if a double-engine government is formed in Odisha, there would be rapid development. The dreams of several deprived families, women, tribals, youths and others are going to be fulfilled soon. The promises made by BJP are being fulfilled at a faster pace,” said PM Modi.
According to PM Modi, the BJP had promised reopening of all gates of Puri Srimandir and opening of Ratna Bhandar. This has been done.
“The BJP government here is working for the people round-the-clock. The BJP government led by CM is going to people and trying to solve their grievances. Today’s day is also special as the NDA government at the Centre has completed 100 days in office. During this period, big steps have been taken for poor, farmers, youths and women empowerment,” said PM Modi.
