Dipika Chikhlia’s Emotional Reaction

For many viewers, Govil isn’t just an actor - he is Ram incarnate. Even his former co-star Dipika Chikhlia, who played Sita in the legendary show, admitted it feels unusual to see him in another role. She confessed that imagining Govil as Dasharatha instead of Ram seemed “out of context” to her.

Her candid remark quickly caught attention, prompting curiosity about Govil’s response.

Govil Responds with Grace

During an exclusive interaction with IANS, Arun reacted to his former co-star Dipika Chikhlia's comment, who stated that seeing him playing anything other than Ram feels out of context.

When Govil was asked, "You are essaying the role of Dasharatha in Ramayana. You must have seen Dipika Chikhlia's reaction, that she is not very convinced that you should play Dashrath after being the OG Ram."

Govil reacted to this saying, "This is her own point of view, and everyone is entitled to their own outlook in life."

Measured and respectful, his answer reflected maturity, allowing space for differing perspectives while embracing his new chapter.

Sharing Screen Space with Ranbir Kapoor

Govil also opened up about working alongside Ranbir Kapoor, who portrays Lord Ram in the upcoming adaptation. Govil shared, "He is a very fine actor, everyone knows he is a fine actor, and I could understand him as a fine human being also. I wish him all the best, he has done well".

His words revealed admiration not just for Kapoor’s craft, but also for his personality.

A Grand Cinematic Vision Takes Shape

Backed by Prime Focus Studios and DNEG, the project promises scale and spectacle. Yash’s Monster Mind Creations joins the collaboration, elevating expectations further. The ensemble boasts Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Devi, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman.
