Talks Are Still On, Meeting Awaited

During his interaction at the 23rd Hindustan Times Leadership Summit, the actor revealed that the planned project hasn’t been abandoned. The two filmmakers are waiting to reconnect over a detailed narration - a crucial step before deciding the film’s future direction.

“Lokesh and I are supposed to meet up. We spoke last month and he said he will come to Bombay at some point, and we will go through the narration. So, that is on the cards as of now," the 60-year-old actor said.

The statement came as a welcome surprise to fans who feared the silence meant the project had fizzled out.

Rumours, Criticism and Creative Clashes

Reports of cancellation had gained momentum following Aamir’s cameo as Dahaa in Lokesh’s latest release, Coolie. Although the cameo attracted curiosity, it didn’t leave the explosive impact many had anticipated.

According to industry buzz, the lukewarm response, coupled with whispers of creative disagreement between the two, pushed the superhero film to the sidelines. With no formal announcement from either camp, conjecture snowballed into widely accepted narrative.
