Lokesh Kanagaraj’s acting debut as the lead in DC, alongside Wamiqa Gabbi, has already triggered ample curiosity. Meanwhile, his separate superhero project- earlier imagined with Aamir Khan in the titular role and touted to be Lokesh’s Bollywood launchpad- hit a rough patch, with reports in September claiming it had been shelved. However, industry murmurs now hint that Lokesh has revived the idea and recently pitched the superhero script to Allu Arjun.

Production Talk: Mythri Movie Makers on Board?

Reports further speculate that Mythri Movie Makers may produce the film once Allu Arjun signs on the dotted line. At the moment, no official announcement has been made by the production house.

Inspired by a Classic DC Comic?

The film reportedly draws inspiration from the 1962 DC comic The Steel Claw, which tells the story of a man who loses his right hand, gains a steel prosthetic, and after an electric shock, can turn invisible- with only the metal limb visible. Lokesh’s adaptation is believed to borrow this core premise for a fresh Indian superhero narrative.

Rumours, Not Reality- For Now

Contrary to the frenzy on social media, the buzz about Allu Arjun teaming up with Lokesh Kanagaraj has been dismissed as pure fiction. As per the local outlet Rangasthalam, a reliable insider clarified that there is “no project, no discussions, and absolutely nothing in the pipeline,” shutting down the rumours entirely.

With no confirmations from the director, actors, or producers, current updates remain speculative. Fans will have to wait for concrete clarity before celebrating the potential collaboration.
